Eye to eye with eternity...
All the Time
when You were
and I wasn’t.
Folding of mountains
to makings of oceans;
happenings You partook in
and I inherited.
Birth of life forms,
extinction of species;
processes You hosted
and I became a part of.
Evolution in progress
until the arrival of man;
history You witnessed
and I be the proof of.
Sideling Hill in
a syncline in rock
some million years old;
a road cut that reveals
antiquity and tribulations
a saga often untold.

My goodness you have written so many wonderful posts since I've been gone.
I hardly knew where to start. Had to skim through some quickly, but can't wait to get back to them.
By the way I'm fine thank you for asking. Hope to be back very soon.
oh dear ID, this is wonderful, i love your words of reverence to our beautiful planet, only a few, like you with a big heart, recognize what we owe to this beautiful planet: that's life!
I admire all your post, i follow your reviews and advices, but my favorite part of your blog, your poems, this is at least the 3rd time that i read this one since last night, thank you! :D
Excelent poem.
Evolution of the planet earth
Involution of the planet earth
human environment alteration
First was nature evolving
then was human causing evolusion
so how can it be that
All the Time
when You were
and I wasn’t.

'a saga oftern untold'
this time it is told by you... so beautifully...
very nice poem or description, It makes me wanna go there. keep writting like that .
bye bye
Aha! Your poem accentuates the importance of the eternity and the philosophical finality it exudes. It's not just a concept, it's the truth for the ephemeral like us to realise. Something to chant, "Men may come and men may go/But I go on for ever".
Thanks, Id.
