Maria Sharapova new icon for Chiquita/ Bonita/ Dole?

Maria's father and coach inadvertently (?) set up his daughter as the new icon for healthy eating. The sale of bananas is bound to skyrocket with Maria Sharapova eating one, on court, between two games in the US Open quarter finals!

Naah... my guess is people follow glamorous people for glamorous things... wonder if banana-eating qualifies...but t'will be good if they do... better than advertising harmful drinks.

Ah, am I the only one here that thinks that, that perticular picture looks a, shall we say, a little suggestive.
Come on now fess up, I can't be the only one that thinks this way.
Am I, am I, oh I'm gonna go hide now.

It's not all about bananas. Other acitivities come to mind too after seeing that picture, but hey whatever floats people's boats. But if one has to see Sharapova eat a banana to know that it's healthy then those folks have bigger issues.

Wild Sharapova. Wild bananas. Wild people. Though it was good to see the Russian beauty win...I guess we got more people who will follow Ms. Hilton....wild thoughts!

P.S.- the pics in the earlier posts are amazing.

I love bananas. But I kinda agree with Wild Reeds. I'm not so sure it's glamorous enough!

Never thought that Maria would have anything in common with Monkeys. I have a bannaa before going to play Tennis everyday.

The interpretation could be that Maria makes people go bannanas. Maybe the bananna has something to do with that. Jokes apart, We are what we eat.
