Change,
the ultimate hope!
fears gone
tempers calmed
visions cleared
obstacles removed
threat disarmed
innocence harbored
poverty checked
hunger lessened
faith instilled
suspicions cleared
gunfire silenced
peace established
Alas,
change is but a phase.
What will it take
in order to sustain
a 'change we believe in'?
Vote Obama is the claim!

oh yes! you do write wonderful powerful words mister iditis!!
you can find beauty even in politics
soulful your rhymes and feel a lump in my throat when i reach to "peace established", so hope so!!
voted this morning, just wait & see all we can do now, and keep on hoping
it feels good to know that
democracy is still alive
in this big beautiful country
and that we today have
a new elected president
Amen to that.
What a lovely way to say that we have a new president. I think a lot of people are breathing a sigh of relief today.
Without a doubt, the one thing that won't sustain change we can believe in is complacency. We need to remain active, do what we can to help Obama, as well as criticize him when we disagree. And, of course, we can't leave everything up to the government, either. We need to be active in our own communities, homes, and families.
Great post.
hmmm... very impressive... and he won... because many believed in change...
"Yoga" says it definitely right... not just the governments but each individual person has got an influential say... let's act...
hope all these come true...
I'm glad he won - and I hope that the change holds true to its promise.
I've moved my blog to WordPress. here's the new URL (the old blog has a link, for now...):

Sometimes change can end up short-changing people.
Eshu,
Do I sense a foreboding...
Would you share what you fear/? (for lack of a better word)
