His claim is that:
- 'democratic system isn't functioning and the public knows it "
- 'campaign spending for each candidate in the 2012 US election is about 2 billion dollars...and campaign funds come from financial institutions...and they will expect to be paid back'
- ' immense power in concentrated capital'
- 'US in vicious cycle of social issues ..unemployment levels like those during the depression...in some areas in NY there is serious poverty like that in Africa....infrastructure collapsing, schools collapsing... and it's time to protest'

Well, I think you are now back from the Wall Street expedition.
If the USA are in trouble it is because of the voters. If people vote based on the quality of the TV advertisements, what can you expect?
I remember well my astonishment when Mr Bush was reelected inspite of the stunning display of his mistakes and misjudgments.
In a democracy it is never "the others" only ourselves.
